These are 2 wonderful girls that are in the Twins life and I just love them. The 2 on the right, Jason and Ginette, have started dating now. The 2 on the left, Jeff and Christi, are really good friends. If I had it my way........well I don't so I won't say anything on a Public Blog....but let's just say I love these 2 girls. They have become like sisters.

A Miracle!

Jua and her special friend

There was a wonderful miracle that took place in our lives 2 weeks ago. Jason has been friends with this girl names Hua who is from Vietnam. She has been going to BYU for years now being surrounded by good LDS friends. Jason was one of those friends that she met. They connected right away and have been friends for years now. One night after Jeff and Jason did some entertainment with there ukulele's she came up to Jason and with tears in her eyes, told him she wanted to take the missionary lessons. Jason sat in on each one. She did not have a belief in God, but because of the examples that surrounded her, she was baptized 2 weeks ago. There were many people that were there to support her. She even said a few words at the end which included her testimony. Jeffrey and Jason sang a beautiful musical number, and I had the privelage to accompany them. It was a day never to forget.

Birthday Dinner

Birthday Fun!

It was the Twin's Birthdays on the 10th of this month. It was a very exciting day full of fun and celebration. Also, something that made it extra unique was they celebrated their day with another set of twin girls. Ironically, they share the same Birthday. This Birthday was the last Birthday that they will share together in Provo. Jason moves to Washington D.C. in the winter and they both graduate soon. We celebrated their Birthday all evening. We started by going to an amazing, delicious Italian Restaurant and were serenaded by an Italian singer. Enjoy some of the pictures:)

Family catch up!

The best part for me was to have our Family Catch up. It's always good to spend time together.

Cake and Ice Cream

Jason's Special Friend....if you want to know the status you will have to ask him:)

We had about 4 different Birthday Cakes to choose from. I couldn't stop looking at them.

THEY REAL BIRTHDAY SONG

Birthday Song!!!

We had fun singing a little Birthday Song. It's a little different then the norm, but so fun!

Message from Mom

Having a blog will be so much fun for all lof us. This will be a new experience for me and I will learn alot! This blog will also help us keep up with each other's lives and feel close together, even though we can be far apart.
I hope everyone loved conference and look forward to reading our own November Ensign. I feel like it is sooo important for each of us to read each talk during these next six months and really KNOW what the living prophets are trying to tell us. We can share what we learn with each other. This can be an enlightening and fun experience for all, especially if we all participate.

We think it will be fun to hear from everyone, via blog, so we can look forward to each other's stories, experiences, and testimonies. So far Maurine has written and so has Amy. It is my turn and we will look forward to the next entry after mine. It seems that once a month is a good amount of time to write, preferably by the first of the month.

We would like all of you to comment about the traditions we have mentioned as possibilities for our upcoming holiday season. We would like to know what you like and if you have any other ideas.

We will look forward to hearing from each of you this month. It will be alot of fun.

Love,

Mom

How Well Do You Really Know Your Twin???

Towards the end of the evening we had both twins play a little game. Mom spent a lot of time putting together questions to try to stump the boys. She did a really good job. They were stumped a lot of the time. Every time they got the answer wrong they had to stick a piece of gum in their mouth. It was a lot of fun. Here are the snap shots I got from the game. Enjoy!

Jeffrey had to guess which dance was Jason's favorite to do around the house (really he did it to tease Amy, however it is still very famous.

This is Jen and I who planned the party drilling the twins. Jason looks a little nervous.

Traditions

This picture about sums up what Addie did while we were in Mesa for General Conference. "Pay Pano" was the phrase we constantly heard from her mouth. Grandma and Alison were kind enough to spend a lot of time playing with her. This girl loves music for sure.

While we were in Mesa we also spent some time brainstorming some new Christmas traditions...since we have lost or eliminated quite a few in the last couple years. Here is a starting list of a few we came up with. Please feel free to comment on them. It is just a brainstorm so feel free to veto or suggest others.

  • Playing Basketball or another sport as a family (Christmas Day)
  • Pedicures for the girls (during the Christmas break sometime)
  • Watching White Christmas or other Christmas movies (Christmas Eve)
  • Making homemade Sweet Rolls together on Christmas Eve fresh for eating Christmas morning
  • Acting out the Nativity (you may think you are to old for this, but Addie and future grandkids will need/love it)
  • Story time- a time to share memories/stories of Christmases past maybe pull out old home videos (I have observed that telling stories and reminiscing is one of the things the family likes to do together)
  • Family Christmas Concert - this is to take the place of caroling. We thought that we would perform for each other. Everyone or groups of people could put together musical numbers and then we could share them with each other Christmas Eve.
  • Find a Christmas service project

What do you think? If there are people, other than our family reading this, please share in the comments your favorite Christmas tradition.

Angela's Visit

It sure was great to have Angela come up to see us. We had so much fun. I can't wait until she's out here for good. She will love it and fit right in. I felt like my other half was with me....or should I say my TWIN!!!

General Conference

We also went to General Conference which was such a rewarding experience. Some how we were able to go to 3 of them. I went to 2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. Conference seems to get better and better each year. The spirit was very strong. One of the best parts was spending it with Angela. She came up for 2 days and it was so worth it. I missed Alison though. I wish she would have surprised me and climed out of Angela's suitcase. Maybe next time!!!

My Amazing Weekend!!!

I am so glad we have this Blog now. Thank you Maurine for putting this together!!! It will be a blast keeping in touch with our family. I had my amazing mission reunion this weekend that was just so much fun. There is nothing like reuniting with people you love. That is what the Gospel is all about. These are a lot of the sisters that served with me in the Visitor Center. My Mission President and Visitor Center Director are still out there in Oakland serving. They will both be back by next October. I'm will be forever greatful I served a mission.
