This picture about sums up what Addie did while we were in Mesa for General Conference. "Pay Pano" was the phrase we constantly heard from her mouth. Grandma and Alison were kind enough to spend a lot of time playing with her. This girl loves music for sure.
While we were in Mesa we also spent some time brainstorming some new Christmas traditions...since we have lost or eliminated quite a few in the last couple years. Here is a starting list of a few we came up with. Please feel free to comment on them. It is just a brainstorm so feel free to veto or suggest others.
- Playing Basketball or another sport as a family (Christmas Day)
- Pedicures for the girls (during the Christmas break sometime)
- Watching White Christmas or other Christmas movies (Christmas Eve)
- Making homemade Sweet Rolls together on Christmas Eve fresh for eating Christmas morning
- Acting out the Nativity (you may think you are to old for this, but Addie and future grandkids will need/love it)
- Story time- a time to share memories/stories of Christmases past maybe pull out old home videos (I have observed that telling stories and reminiscing is one of the things the family likes to do together)
- Family Christmas Concert - this is to take the place of caroling. We thought that we would perform for each other. Everyone or groups of people could put together musical numbers and then we could share them with each other Christmas Eve.
- Find a Christmas service project

I love all of these Ideas. If we do all these wonderful things...we will have a very fulfilling Christmas. There were only 2 more things I could really think of..tell me what you think. 1. One night go around the neighborhoods and enjoy the Christmas lights. 2. Either Christmas eve or Christmas day we should have a traditional meal.

Love those ideas. My family always had a traditional meal on christmas day. When do you guys usually have it?
It is usually Christmas Day that we have our ham, turkey, and all that. What does your family have?
